Sunny Becks-Crumpton, a hoop fitness instructor, founded Hooping for Hope in February 2008. Inspired by her fly fishing guide who volunteered for Casting for Recovery & Hope in North Carolina she returned home to make an impact in the hoop community that she was building in Nashville TN. Realizing that the benefits her students received in hoop class matched the loss that a breast cancer survivor endures, she felt that hooping was a perfect fit to reconnect the survivor not only with her body and spirit, but to extend her lifespan as well.

Sunny leads a team of hoopers annually in the Country Music Half Marathon and hoop-walked 45 of the 60 mile 3-day Komen walk in DC on behalf of her aunt who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. Encouraged to make a difference to those around her and to inspire her three daughters to do the same, her mission is quite simple... enhance the lives of breast cancer survivors around her by sharing her love of the hula hoop.
