HOOPING the HALF!
Each year hoopers* participate as a team to hoop-walk the Country Music Half-Marathon on
behalf of Hooping for Hope™. It is our largest fundraiser and this event brings awareness both locally and
nationally to highlight the mission of the Hooping for Hope™ program.
In 2008 we had ten hoopers and 2009 brought us almost 50. In 2010 we had 72 and in 2011, 54 hoopers joined the team.
This journey, while personal to a degree, is actually a bit larger than life. It's about a group of people uniting together as a team to
accomplish something a bit out of the ordinary, all the while raising awareness for the Hooping for Hope program. Every step our legs take,
and every rotation our hoop makes is for a woman (or man), known or unknown, who has been touched by breast cancer.
Hooping the Half (HTH) is about doing something for someone else, representing a person who may have felt left behind by breast cancer. Won't you consider joining us for this journey of a lifetime? Or at the very least, sponsoring a hooper on behalf of someone who has been loved by you for your lifetime? We hope so!
*NOTE: For 2012, the team is open to both hoopers AND walkers!
We encourage you to join us to learn more about this event at The Hooping Life screening at the Belcourt, January 19th, 6:30 PM. (Details Here)
